Dyslexia Assessments

For Adults & Children in Kent and across UK

We provide a range of services to support adults and children who show signs of dyslexia. Difficulties with reading, writing, memory and organisation can lead to frustration, low confidence, and feeling ‘not good enough.’ Adults may find work demands overwhelming, while children can struggle to keep up at school.

Our diagnostic assessments provide clarity, helping you understand if dyslexia is the cause. Tailored support gives the opportunity to build confidence and develop practical strategies to help you thrive.

What happens in a diagnostic dyslexia assessment?

The diagnostic process for dyslexia is significantly detailed and, prior to the day of assessment, requires an input from parents and school.

When an assessment is for an adult, an input is just required from the person having the assessment..

On the day of the assessment, a specialist assessor of dyslexia will meet the learner and begin using a battery of assessments which involve investigating underlying verbal and visual ability, working memory, processing speed, phonological awareness, reading, writing and spelling ability of an individual. These tests take approximately 2 to 3 hours with the learner having breaks as required.

Once the assessments have been completed, a comprehensive report will be written and sent to you 2-3 weeks after the assessment.
