I'm Laura, your award-winning dyslexia assessor and coach. With a background as an experienced teacher, I live in Kent with my family, fuelled by coffee and inspired by walks in nature. I'm here to support and guide you on your journey.

I have dedicated the last 25 years to helping people. This is driven by a passion that began in the classroom, grew through my educational leadership roles, and is now focused on providing comprehensive support and guidance to empower dyslexic and neurodivergent individuals on their educational and employment journeys. At my core, I am a lifelong lover of learning and I want to inspire that same love in others. This passion drives me to continually develop and hone my skills, ensuring that I can help you understand your unique self and thrive with confidence.
We're living in a world that's becoming more aware of neurodiversity, yet still grappling with the realities of these lived experiences. Having witnessed first-hand the struggles faced by individuals, I understand deeply the kind of advocate you need to help you gain a better understanding of both your challenges and strengths.
To truly understand neurodivergent needs is to unlock unlimited potential. This passion for making a difference led me to follow my dream and establish my specialist services. Therefore, with a blend of high-level expertise and compassionate coaching, This Is Dyslexia was created.
I love what I do and take pride in being able to support individuals on their journey of discovery, to show how it’s possible to move beyond coping to becoming empowered: this is my promise. We all have unique strengths within us; we just need the knowledge and understanding to navigate our differences towards a path of endless possibilities.
Whether you're thinking about booking a dyslexia assessment, wondering how to support a loved one, or considering coaching to help you harness your neurodivergence, I’m your trusted specialist.
Thank you for taking an interest in my website and services,
Laura

Hi, I'm Laura
Neurodivergence Specialist and
Founder of This is Dyslexia.
Why Me?
Beyond coping to becoming empowered: This Is Dyslexia's Promise.
I recognise the weight of worry, the overwhelm of questions, the uncertainty of not knowing how to best help yourself, your child, or your employees.
I understand the feeling of finding things challenging at school or work but not knowing why.
I also see the intersection of neurodiversity and mental health, with a deep understanding of the impact it can have on individuals' well-being and potential.
There is a way to make things clearer, to receive answers and guidance. A way to be supported with the right strategy and tools to thrive.
